Passing is prohibited or unsafe when:
- A.The dashed line is on your side on an open straightaway
- B.A slower vehicle has signaled to turn right far ahead
- C.Your view ahead is blocked by a hill, curve, intersection, crosswalk, or railroad crossing area
- D.Traffic ahead is moving at the limit in clear view
Correct answer
C. Your view ahead is blocked by a hill, curve, intersection, crosswalk, or railroad crossing area
Why
Do not pass where you cannot see far enough ahead to complete the move safely, including hills, curves, intersections, and near crossings. Limited sight distance makes passing dangerous and often unlawful.
