Texas DMV Exam Simulator

This is not a generic quiz: each run is built to Texas’s real, published test format and graded by the number of correct answers the state actually requires — no feedback until the end, just like the testing center. You can move back and forth and change answers before you finish.

Learner's Permit (Car) — 30 questions, 21 correct to pass (70%)

The Texas knowledge test has 30 questions: 15 on road signs and 15 on driving rules. You need 21 correct (70%) to pass.

Motorcycle Permit — 20 questions, 15 correct to pass (75%) MODELED FORMAT

In Texas, completing a TDLR-approved motorcycle safety course waives the DPS knowledge test for most applicants, so many riders never sit this exam. Our simulator models the DPS knowledge-test format (20 questions, 75% to pass) as a study check; confirm your own requirement on the DPS motorcycle page.

Unanswered questions count as wrong. The on-screen clock is a pacing aid for practice; the question count and passing standard are the real Texas figures listed above.
