When approaching a stopped school bus with flashing red lights in Florida, you must:
- A.Stop and remain stopped until the bus moves on and children are clear
- B.Pass slowly on the left
- C.Pass only if no children are visible
- D.Stop only if you are behind the bus
Correct answer
A. Stop and remain stopped until the bus moves on and children are clear
Why
Florida requires drivers to stop for a school bus loading or unloading children and to stay stopped until it is safe and the bus resumes. Children may cross unexpectedly, so never pass a stopped bus.
