You have finished parking on a level street. In an automatic-transmission vehicle you should leave the gear selector in:
- A.Neutral, with no brake
- B.Drive, with the engine off
- C.Park, with the parking brake set
- D.Reverse, with the parking brake off
Correct answer
C. Park, with the parking brake set
Why
Leave an automatic in Park and set the parking brake every time. This keeps the vehicle from rolling if it is bumped or the surface is not as level as it looks.
